Hostile Architecture

This live set investigates the hidden topography of digital infrastructure, utilising visual material directly sourced from "dark site" stock footage housed within physical datacentres. By repurposing this overlooked, latent imagery, the project interrogates the tension between the ephemeral nature of digital data and the material reality of the servers that sustain it.

The methodology focuses on the aestheticization of infrastructure, treating technical storage environments as sites of artistic inquiry rather than mere utility. Through this process, the work recontextualizes proprietary media, transforming utilitarian "dark" content into a focused meditation on digital accumulation and the unseen architectures of our technological landscape. Ultimately, the piece invites viewers to confront the physical presence of the digital, bridging the gap between abstract connectivity and the tangible, energy-intensive hardware that defines the modern era.
